"'All the same,' said the Scarecrow, 'I shall ask for brains instead of a heart; for a fool would not know what to do with a heart if he had one.'
‘I shall take the heart,’ returned the Tin Woodman; ‘for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world.’"
The Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum. (via the-library-and-step-on-it)

A previous owner enhanced this edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Akron: Saalfield Publishing Company, ca. 1920s?) with stickers on the endpapers and next to John Tenniel’s illustrations.

I’m really sorry I’ve been slacking a bit with this blog lately, I’ve just been finding it quite difficult to find things to post and reblog that I haven’t already! If anybody knows of any other blogs that post loads of Peter Pan and the Wizard of Oz (mostly book stuff please) then could you tell me? I know where to find plenty of Alice in Wonderland stuff through the beautiful Carrollian community on here but I struggle quite a bit with the other two!
