I did this a little while ago, but I thought it’s kinda cool!

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
L. Frank Baum
I’ve grown up with the classic Judy Garland movie adaptation of this book (probably an attempt to introduce American culture in my childhood), so Dorothy was my Alice, and Oz my Wonderland.
As always, there is more to the book than the movie, but this time it’s not like the movie is lacking, but more like the book is an extended version with extra cut scenes and new places. The most significant difference though, would be that the “ruby slippers” were originally “silver shoes”. (And the fact that in the book it wasn’t “just a dream” but hEY.) Not gonna say much more about the book, but reading about the green glasses everyone is commanded to wear in the Emerald City gave me a most brilliant idea for a book!Dorothy cosplay!
Superb Illustrated Edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the looking glass and what Alice found there
This edition published in 1911 is the first time John Tenniel’s legendary illustrations were printed in colour
sadly the original covers are faded and marked as shown in the photos - but the contents are beautiful fresh and clean
